Time to get really serious about skincare, and by serious I mean Clarisonic serious.

Backstory:

I started using the Clarisonic Mia 2 six years ago when I had a problem with breakouts. The problem was my skin has never been a breeding ground for acne. I get breakouts when my hormones are out of wack or I am stressed out but for some reason I was breaking out more often than usual. I tried everything, from drugstore products to Proactiv, I found that Salicylic Acid and Benzoyl Peroxide together helped with clearing up my acne. Even though my breakouts were clearing up I still had some stubborn acne and the ingredients were irritating my skin. I stumbled upon the Clarisonic one day while shopping, I had seen rave reviews on it but couldn't justify spending the money. I contemplated for a while and decided to take the plunge, I was desperate! Let me tell you, I am so glad that I went for it and purchased the Clarisonic Mia 2.

Clarisonic Mia 2:

Okay now that you know the backstory, you know I have been using the Clarisonic Mia 2 for 6 years now (yes the same device). I have never repurchased the Mia 2 device, never had problems with it or the battery life. I have also used it religiously every day or every other day until recently when I ran out of brush heads and money! The Mia 2 has two speed settings and a one minute pulsating t-zone timer enough to wash the face but you do have to restart it to get to the neck area (which doesn't bother me at all, an easy click of a button). The brush heads can also be a bit expensive but I recommend stocking up when they go on sale especially if you plan on using it every day.

Clarisonic Mia Fit:

I recently purchased the Mia Fit because I found a great deal on it and it has been on my wish list for over a year! I didn't want to take the plunge simply because the Mia 2 has never given me an issue but I have always wanted to give the Mia Fit a go since it is travel friendly. The Mia Fit also has two settings and a one minute pulsating t-zone timer. Besides being super compact the Mia Fit is able to cleanse the neck area under the second setting. I also love how it charges sitting up and it charges via a USB, which is great for traveling. The only thing that was disappointing is that the Mia Fit did not come with a case like the Mia 2 but I did receive the Radiance cleanser and an extra brush head! Not receiving a case for the Mia Fit is not such a big deal when you consider the value and the Radiance cleanser is amazing (planning on buying more when I run out). The Radiance cleanser leaves your skin, yes, radiant!

The brush heads from Clarisonic fit all their devices, I gifted the Mia 2 to my boyfriend so he could experience the power of the Clarisonic cleanse. Honestly, I love Clarisonic and when I don't use it I notice the difference, I finally feel like my skin can breath again. I have also received compliments on my skin since I started using my Clarisonic again. I absolutely recommend it, especially if you were already planning on buying it or if you are planning on gifting it to someone. If you don't have the money to splurge on the Mia Fit, I would recommend the Mia 2 or even the Mia because you can always find good deals on those (check out QVC!). I believe the Clarisonic is an investment so If you believe it is too pricey for you think about the benefits your skin will reap and save up for it! Sometimes we waste money by buying fancy serums or ridiculously expensive creams but the base of good skin is a great cleanse and lots of sunscreen! Let me know if you have tried it or are planning on trying it and happy shopping!
