Beach Look in under 10 minutes

Beach Look in under 10 minutes

While I was on vacation I mastered the 10 minute makeup look and I thought I would share the products that helped me achieve the look. I wanted to look refreshed and glowing at the beach while also protecting my skin. This look is also perfect if you need to go from day to night and don't have time to redo your makeup.

Step 1: Prep skin my washing and moisturizing your face, I used the Murad Perfecting Lotion and let it dry and sink in. I used my Drunk Elephant Umbra Sheer SPF 30 sunscreen and also let that dry (I used this for extra protection, nothing worse than a sun burnt face). I also like the Coppertone Oil Free Faces sunscreen, very light weight and perfect for oily skin.

Step 2: After my regular sunscreen has dried completely I mixed my Chanel CC Cream with my Drunk Elephant Umbra Tinte (about a dime size of each) and used my hands to apply all over my face and neck (make sure you blend it really well, this is especially helpful when you use your hands, the warmth helps blend in your makeup). The slight shimmer of the Umbra Tinte along with the moisturizing effect of the Chanel CC Cream gave me a gorgeous my skin but better glow.

Step 3: If I was looking extra tired I went ahead and added a tiny bit of concealer and applied with my ring finger by patting and blending. Because I have an oily t-zone I used the Bare Minerals Loose Powder foundation with big fluffy brush and only patted a bit on my t-zone. I found that the Bare Minerals foundation mattified my t-zone and kept it from getting oily even at the beach!

Step 4: I get a natural blush from being in the sun so I skipped blush and highlighter. I curled my lashes (because they are ridiculously straight) and used my favorite Diorshow mascara and of course it's waterproof!

Extra Tip: Set your makeup with Supergoop's Defense Refresh Setting Mist SPF 50

The process of adding sunscreen to your routine can take just as long as doing this makeup routine but do not skip it! Let your sunscreen dry for at least 5 to 10 minutes and then after that your makeup routine will be a breeze just like your vacation!
