Now that Self Care Sunday is approaching I wanted to share a few tips and products that help me make the most of this special day for me. Self Care Sunday doesn't have to be tied to just Sunday, you can practice Self Care every day or choose a day that works for you. For me, Saturday or Sunday works best and I especially like the weekend to practice Self Care because I can unwind and relax after a long work week.

Tip 1: Start with a clean canvas: I start by removing any makeup and washing my face with my new Foreo Luna Fofo (The Luna Fofo is not out yet but I linked a similar one if you're interested) and my Indie Lee Rosehip Cleanser. This duo is gentle on my skin and is my favorite combo to wash my face day and night. I feel like this is the most important step to any routine because otherwise the rest of the products you use will only exacerbate your clogged pores.

Tip 2: Take a relaxing bath while you multimask!: Most of my masks work in 15 minutes or less, this is perfect to use in the bath while listening to my favorite music or reading a book. My favorite mask is the Origins Original Skin Retexturizing mask with Rose Clay because it smells so good and it leaves my skin nice and smooth. For the under eye area I love using the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask, the mask plumps up my fine lines and feels refreshing when I put it on. Most of the time I forget to take care of my lips so once a week I like to use the KNC Beauty Collagen Infused Lip Mask, this mask leaves my lips so soft, I can feel the difference right after I take the mask off. While my skin is getting nice and soft I like to add a hair mask. This Shea butter Hair Mask by Sephora left my hair noticeably soft and manageable after just one use!

Tip 3: Self Care Sunday doesn't stop in the bath: I like to use my heavy duty products after a bath. So after I'm out of the bath, and have used all my gentle masks I continue with an at home facial like the Drunk Elephant TLC Sukari Babyfacial or the Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peels. Both of these products are great at smoothing skin texture, creating an even complexion and fading acne scars. If I don't need to do a peel that week or my face is feeling sensitive I'll use the Glow Recipe Watermelon Mask as a wash off mask because it is really gentle and it brightens my skin.

Tip 4: Let it sink in: After I've done a mini facial at home I continue with the rest of my night time skincare routine and I'll use my Rose Quartz facial roller to let the products sink into my face all while helping with lymphatic drainage, puffiness, and inflammation. You can find a similar facial roller here and here. Remember to roll your face in upward and outward motions, never back and forth. Facial rolling is a relaxing experience and the cherry on top of a perfect Self Care Sunday!

I hope you guys loved my little tips and tricks! What are your favorite Self Care Sunday tips? Share away!
