Summer Bronzed Glow
On my Instagram Stories I shared a step by step guide on how I used the new Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Serum drops. What I love about this product is that you can create a cocktail (or mix) with these drops and a serum, oil or moisturizer. The D-Bronzi drops are 100% fragrance, essential oil, silicone and irritant-free (straight from Drunk Elephant website) so you don't have to worry about irritating your skin! The D-Bronzi drops are full of anti-oxidants that guard against pollution so you can feel good about using this product while creating a beautiful bronzed glow. I love this minimal makeup look because my skin is glowing and I don't even feel the need to do my eyelashes or add blush/eyeshadow etc. So below below I give you a guide to this minimal makeup look as well as linking all the products I used.
Prep Skin: This is the most important step because the secret to glowing skin is a smooth canvas. After cleansing I use my Drunk Elephant Protini Cream and after it sinks in I follow with the Dr. Jart Cicapair Camo drops around my nose/cheeks. The Dr. Jart Cicapair Camo drops cancel out my redness and help me use less makeup at the same time. It's also equally important to let each product sink in before attempting to move on.
Step 1: If you need this look to stay on all day or you're going to be out in the hot sun I suggest using a primer before you start the makeup application, I love using the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen Primer. The Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen primer is lightweight, colorless, feels just like a primer! I then follow with the L'oreal True Match Concealer on my dark under eye circles and any blemishes I want to cover up.
Step 2: Mix about a nickel size of Drunk Elephant Umbra Tinte with 1 pump of D-Bronzi (depending on your level of bronze, 1 pump works great for my pale skin). I warm both products in my hand and apply all over my face and neck. You can also use your Marula Oil or Umbra Sheer or all of the above to get your personalized bronzed look. I personally love combining my Umbra Tinte with the D-Bronzi drops for a glowing look.
Step 3: I tap on my Bare Minerals loose powder foundation with a big fluffy brush on the oily areas of my face (my forehead and nose). I like using this over any foundation, BB cream, CC cream to set my makeup look and keep my oiliness at bay.
Step 4: I used my favorite plumping gloss from Soap and Glory in the color "Plumpsup" I love this color because it still looks natural. If you want to get more glammed up for a night time look, just add your favorite mascara and a pop of bronzed eyeshadow.
Bonus: Add a few pumps of D-Bronzi to Umbra Sheer or Virgin Marula oil and use it on your arms and legs to complete the Bronzed look.
